Why play for the ECRSA?
The ECRSA is an inclusive softball league, that emphasizes community engagement and fun. You don’t need to have any prior experience. We have team captains that will help you learn the basics of the game. The rest of it can be learned on the field.
What are the fees to play?
Fees for the 2023 season are $70 per player!
Where and when are games played?
A schedule of all ECRSA games, tournaments and events can be found online and can be easily transferred to your desktop, laptop, tablet and/or smartphone.
Is the field accessible by public transit?
Yes, the field is accessible by public transit. To plan your trip to the weekly game, we recommend the HRM Metro Transit’s trip planner.
How do I know if the game is cancelled due to weather conditions?
We will announce any game cancellations via Facebook and Twitter on the day of the game.
You may also contact 3-1-1 and follow the Field Condition prompts.
What other events does the ECRSA organize?
We hold an annual tournament in celebration of Pride Week in Halifax (previously known as Kick Off to Pride). This tournament is optional (not part of the regular season play). Also, the very popular Dykes vs. Divas game. We also try to put on social events for players to meet each other.
I also want to help/be a part of the Commission, is this possible?
Volunteers are always welcome! The positions are voted on by players of the ECRSA. Your Commission can be viewed here. If anything changes like a new position opens up or a current ones needs to be filled then we will put a posting out to the members. If you are interested in helping out, please email us.
If you are set to register this season, please ‘like’ us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to stay informed on registration events.
See you on the fields!
